The District Angels Fellowship is an immersive, cohort-based experience that equips aspiring investors and operators with the tools, context, and confidence to thrive in early-stage investing, especially in mission-driven markets and the DMV startup ecosystem.
Whether you're interested in launching a fund, supporting founders, or becoming an angel investor yourself, our curriculum blends real-world application with strategic insight.
Building Blocks for Angel Investing
Throughout the fellowship, participants engage directly with live founder pitches and investment discussions, giving them a front-row seat to how funding decisions are made. In addition to practical investing skills, fellows gain access to a growing network of investors, founders, and domain experts across the DMV region and beyond.
Format: Hybrid virtual program with live weekly sessions
Timeline: 10 weeks (Fall and Spring cohorts)
Time Commitment: ~8-10 hours/week
Cost: Free to accepted participants
Location: Remote, with optional in-person events

Selection Criteria to Consider
Strong interest in early-stage startups, venture capital, or innovation ecosystems.
Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: startups, government, public policy, finance, technology, or mission-driven organizations.
Committed to learning and actively participating in a collaborative, cohort-based program.
